Gastrointestinal tract infections (gastroenteritis) include bacterial, viral and protozoan pathogens that cause inflammation of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract. They rank as the second highest rates of mortality and morbidity following pneumonia, especially in children under 5 years of age in developing countries. Apart from the serious consequences of gastroenteritis infections, the disease is a burden on the health services in developed countries. Therefore, rapid and accurate diagnosis is very important worldwide.

Gastroenteritis Panel Kits
Bosphore Gastroenteritis Panel Kit v1 has been designed to detect astrovirus, rotavirus, norovirus Genotype I, norovirus Genotype II, adenovirus, Clostridium difficile, Campylobacter spp. and Salmonella spp. extracted from the following human biological samples including stool samples. Fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 filters.
An internal control has been integrated into the kit in order to check nucleic acid extraction, PCR inhibition and application mistakes. The internal control can be added either during DNA extraction or PCR step.

Tube 1 | – | Astrovirus | Rotavirus | Internal Control |
Tube 2 | Norovirus GI | Norovirus GII | Adenovirus | Internal Control |
Tube 3 | Clostridium difficile | Campylobacter spp. | Salmonella spp. | Internal Control |
Bosphore Gastroenteritis Panel Kit v2 has been designed to detect astrovirus, rotavirus, norovirus Genotype I, norovirus Genotype II, adenovirus, Clostridium difficile, Campylobacter spp., Salmonella spp., enteroinvasive E.coli (EIEC) and Shigella spp., verotoxigenic E.coli (VTEC) and Yersinia enterocolitica extracted from the following human biological samples including stool samples. Fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 filters.
