Bosphore STDs Panel Kit v6 detects and characterizes Gardnerella vaginalis, HSV-1, HSV-2, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Treponema pallidum, Ureaplasma parvum and Ureaplasma urealyticum in human biological samples. Fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 filters.
In the first PCR tube with PCR Master Mix 1, Ureaplasma urealyticum genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter, Ureaplasma parvum genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the HEX filter and Mycoplasma hominis genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Texas Red filter.
In the second PCR tube with PCR Master Mix 2, Neisseria gonorrhoeae genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter, Trichomonas vaginalis genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the HEX filter and Gardnerella vaginalis genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter.
In the third PCR tube with PCR Master Mix 3, Mycoplasma genitalium genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Texas Red and Treponema pallidum genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter.
In the fourth PCR tube with PCR Master Mix 4, HSV-1 genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM filter and HSV-2 genome is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter.
An internal control has been integrated into the kit in order to check DNA extraction and PCR inhibition. The amplification data of the internal control is detected with the Cy5 filter in PCR Master Mix 1, Texas Red filter in PCR Master Mix 2 and Hex filter in PCR Master Mix 3 and Master Mix 4. The internal control can be added either during DNA extraction or PCR step.
