Real-Time PCR Kits
Antibiotic Resistance Panel
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most significant global health threats facing modern medicine. Bacterial resistance genes encode specific proteins that allow microorganisms to evade the effects of antibiotics, making infections extremely difficult to treat. These genes, which spread rapidly among different bacterial species, lead to the development of multi-drug resistant (MDR) strains. Failure to detect resistance profiles early can lead to the implementation of inappropriate treatment protocols in critical conditions such as sepsis, resulting in severe clinical outcomes.
Anatolia’s Antibiotic Resistance kits provide Real-Time PCR solutions that detect critical Carbapenem, Vancomycin, and Methicillin resistance genes, including NDM, OXA-48, KPC, Van A/B, and mecA, among others, with high sensitivity. These kits enable the identification of the resistance profile obtained from clinical samples within hours, guiding infection control strategies, and ensuring the selection of the correct antibiotic treatment.

Antibiotic Resistance Panel Kits
The Bosphore ABR Screening Kit is a Real-Time PCR kit designed to detect and characterize resistance genes for New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase (NDM), oxacillinase-48-like (OXA 48), K. pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC), imipenemase (IMP), verona integron-enconded metallo-beta-lactamase (VIM), cefotaximase (CTX-M), mobilized colistin resistance-1 (MCR-1), vancomycin resistance A (Van A), vancomycin resistance B (Van B), methicillin resistance gene (mecA) in human whole blood samples. Fluorescence detection is performed using FAM, HEX, Texas RED, and Cy5 filters.
| FAM | HEX | Texas RED | Cy5 | |
| PCR Master Mix 1 | NDM | OXA 48 | – | KPC |
| PCR Master Mix 2 | IMP | VIM | CTX-M | MCR-1 |
| PCR Master Mix 3 | Van A | Van B | mecA | Internal Control |
Internal control has been integrated into the kit to check DNA extraction, PCR inhibition, or application problems. The amplification data of the internal control is detected with the Cy5 filter for only PCR Master Mix 3. The internal control can be added either during DNA extraction or the PCR step.
Bosphore ABR Screening Kit v2 is a Real-Time PCR kit intended for in vitro diagnostic use that detects and differentiates the resistance genes New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase (NDM), Oxacillinase-48-like (OXA-48), K. pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC), Imipenemase (IMP), Verona integron-encoded metallo-β-lactamase (VIM), Cefotaximase (CTX-M), Mobilized colistin resistance-1 (MCR-1), Vancomycin resistance A (VanA), Vancomycin resistance B (VanB), mecA and mecC (covering SCCmec types 1–15), the nuc gene of Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcal Cassette Chromosome mec (SCCmec) (types 1–15) OrfX junction region (MREJ genotypes i, ii, iii, iv, v, vii, xii, xxi) from human whole blood samples. This kit must be used with blood collected in K2EDTA tubes. Fluorescence detection is performed using the FAM, HEX, Texas Red, and Cy5 filters.
| Component | FAM (Gene) |
HEX (Gene) |
Texas RED (Gene) |
Cy5 (Gene) |
| PCR Master Mix 1 | NDM | OXA 48 | – | KPC |
| PCR Master Mix 2 | IMP | VIM | CTX-M | MCR-1 |
| PCR Master Mix 3 | Van A | Van B | – | Exogenous Internal Control |
| PCR Master Mix 4 | mecA – mecC genes (SCCmec type 1- 15) |
S. aureus (nuc gene) |
Endogenous Internal Control (RNase P) | SCCmec (Orfx junction MREJ genotypes- i, ii, iii, iv, v, vii, xii, xxi) |
The kit contains Exogenous Internal Control (IC) to monitor DNA extraction, PCR inhibition, and procedural errors. Exogenous Internal Control can be added during DNA extraction or directly to the PCR reaction mix. Fluorescence detection for Exogenous Internal Control is performed using the Cy5 filter of PCR Master Mix 3. Endogenous Internal Control based on the detection of an endogenous nucleic acid sequence present in the human genome (RNase P), is integrated into the kit to monitor sampling, DNA extraction, PCR inhibition, or procedural errors. Fluorescence detection for Endogenous Internal Control is performed using the Texas Red filter of PCR Master Mix 4.
