Real-Time PCR Kits
Helicobacter pylori Kits
Helicobacter pylori is an important human pathogen that infects up to 50% of the human population.
Helicobacter pylori is caused chronic inflammation in their localization area and it is the leading cause of peptic ulcers (commonly known as stomach ulcer, duodenum ulcer), gastritis and gastric cancer. More than 50% of world population has Helicobacter pylori in their superior gastrointestinal zone. Approximately 80 % of Helicobacter pylori infections are asymptomatic. Prevalent complains are burning pain in the superior abdomen, satiation feeling after slight nutrition, lack of appetite, sicchasia, vomit, black and bloody stool, tiredness and low blood count (hemogram).
H. pylori treatment is mostly performed by using clarithromycin which is a potent antibiotic. However, clarithromycin resistance of H. pylori is one of the main problems in treatment of infections. Various mutations are involved in the resistance mechanism. The prevalence of clarithromycin resistance has been increasing worldwide.

Helicobacter pylori Kits
Bosphore Helicobacter pylori Detection Kit v1 is, a Real-Time PCR based in-vitro diagnostic medical device, IVD CE marked according to 98/79/EC Directive. Bosphore Helicobacter pylori Detection Kit v1 detects Helicobacter pylori DNA in human biological samples. A region within the 23S ribosomal RNA gene is amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the Cy5 filter.
An internal control has been integrated into the kit in order to check PCR inhibition. The amplification data of the internal control is detected with the HEX filter. The internal control is added during PCR step.
Bosphore Helicobacter pylori Genotyping Mix v1 is a Real-Time PCR based in-vitro diagnostic medical device, IVD CE marked according to 98/79/EC Directive. Bosphore Helicobacter pylori Genotyping Mix v1 detects and characterizes the clarithromycin resistance mutations of Helicobacter pylori in human biological samples such as biopsy specimen embedded in paraffin. Point mutations A2142G, A2142C and A2143G of domain V within the 23S ribosomal RNA gene are amplified and fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM and Cy5 filter.
An internal control has been integrated into the kit in order to check PCR inhibition. The amplification data of the internal control is detected with the HEX filter. The internal control is added during PCR step.
